It’s a weekday morning and you’re the last one out of the house. On your way out you press “Away” on the in-wall touch screen by the front door. Lights throughout the house turn off; the thermostat lowers to desired degrees; the Intruder Alarm System arms; all doors lock; music and all TVs are turned off; shades open in different rooms at different times, depending on the position of the sun. This maximizes solar heating and reduces energy consumption.

You’re on your way home from a long workday. Before you arrive you press the “Home” button in the C4 app running on your Smart phone When you arrive the lights throughout the house are set to the perfect levels for each room. The security system will be disarmed and the temperature will be set to a comfortable degree. Your favorite iTunes® or Spotify playlist will be playing softly in the Kitchen, Living Room, Outdoor patio etc.

Saturday night, and you’re hosting a dinner party. Your guests are about to arrive. You press “Listen” on the table top touch screen on the kitchen counter. Jazz music plays lightly in the living room, dining room and foyer, setting a relaxing mood; in the basement, the kids entertain themselves listening to Top 40 hits and playing video games; during dinner they’re getting a little too rowdy, so you lower the volume from your Android™ phone.
